Real-time Google Meet translator — no extension

Translate Google Meet calls as they happen across 57 languages. Both Meet and SonarAI run in the browser, so you just share your Meet tab — no Chrome extension, and no bot in the people panel.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Open SonarAI in your browser

Google Meet already runs in the browser, and so does SonarAI. Start a Live Session in a second tab — there is no Chrome extension to install or approve.

  2. Step 2

    Share your Meet tab

Share the Google Meet tab so SonarAI can hear the audio. The meeting itself is untouched: no bot appears in the people panel.

  3. Step 3

    Set source and target languages

Choose your languages or let auto-detect identify the speaker. SonarAI covers 57 languages and translates everyone, both directions, in real time.

  4. Step 4

Get live translation and a summary

Translation streams into your browser as people talk. When the call ends, SonarAI produces a summary with decisions, action items and per-speaker notes.

Built for Google Meet

No extension, no bot

Google Meet is browser-native, and so is SonarAI. Live Session reads the shared tab audio, so there is no Chrome extension to install and nothing joins the Meet call's people panel.

Beyond Meet's built-in captions

Google Meet captions translate into a limited set of languages and only show on screen. SonarAI covers 57 languages both directions and keeps a translated transcript you can search and summarize afterwards.

Per-speaker transcripts

Click any speaker's name to see only their words, with an auto-generated per-person summary. Useful for multi-party Meet calls where you need to track who said what.

Smart summaries

Automatic summaries during and after the call, with ten built-in templates plus custom ones. A sales call and an interview shouldn't produce the same summary — and they don't.

BYOK and pay at cost

Connect your own OpenAI key and translation is free for you. Otherwise you pay at cost from monthly wallet credits, topping up in ₽, $ or € whenever you need to.

Voice agent when needed

If you'd rather the other side hear your translated voice, the optional AI Meeting Agent can join Google Meet and speak aloud. It's available on Pro and above and never the default.

Why SonarAI for Google Meet

Google Meet's built-in translation is convenient but limited: a handful of languages, on-screen only, and nothing you can revisit afterwards. SonarAI fills the gap with 57 languages, both-direction translation, and a transcript and summary you keep.

Since everything happens in the browser tab you already share, there is no extension, no admin approval, and no change to the meeting for anyone else. You see the translation and the summary; your participants see a perfectly normal Meet call.

Google Meet translation FAQ

Do I need a Chrome extension to translate Google Meet?

No. Because both Google Meet and SonarAI run in the browser, you simply start a Live Session in another tab and share your Meet tab. There is no extension to install, and nothing appears in the Meet people panel.

How is this different from Google Meet's built-in translated captions?

Meet's captions translate into a limited language set and only appear on screen during the call. SonarAI translates 57 languages in both directions, keeps a searchable translated transcript, and generates a summary with decisions and action items after the call.

Will other people in the Google Meet see SonarAI?

No. The default Live Session mode listens to the shared tab audio privately in your browser, so no participant appears in the call. An optional AI Meeting Agent can join Meet to speak your translated voice, but only if you turn it on.

How much does it cost to translate Google Meet calls?

SonarAI is pay-as-you-go at cost with monthly wallet credits on every plan. A 30-minute call is roughly €0.15 in tokens, and it's free for you if you connect your own OpenAI key.

Does it work with Google Workspace accounts?

Yes. SonarAI never connects to your Google account or Workspace admin — it only reads the audio from the Meet tab you share. That means no admin approval and no IT review to get started.
